I am getting really confused with how Google’s Page Rank works. I have been reading some pointers and tips on how to get and increase page rank for blogs or websites. I tried and experimented the following:
In one of my blogs, I tried to follow the common pointers in getting higher page rank:
With daily blog posts and I must say, with good content and keywords. Did bloghop and left some comments on other blogs. Exchanged links with other blogs and created a blogroll for these links. Enrolled my blogs in blog directories to increase traffic.
While on the other hand, I have this 2-month old blog that has:
No daily blog post but instead I only posted twice or thrice a week. I never bloghopped nor left some comments for this blog. No blogroll or link exchange. Not enrolled in any blog directories.
I know, you would expect that the first blog has a page rank. Naw! The second blog has the page rank of 1 while the first one has zero page rank. This is quite surprising because what I did with the second blog was contradictory to what was being advised by the so-called experts of Google.
So, now am confused and this is why I am giving up analyzing and experimenting on Google page rank. For now, I’ll just write what I like when I like it. Of course, I will still keep an eye on the keywords from time to time.

For the past years, we have been having Halloween Children’s Party in the office and it was always fun. Our office’s employees’ children did the trick or treats around the office premises while wearing their Halloween costumes, played games, and we had our office premises decorated with Halloween decorations. We even had our Best Halloween Decorated Department contest. All of these things, we are not having now. I kinda miss it even if all I usually did was go around the departments and took pictures of our officemates in their gory, sometimes tacky but funny Halloween costumes. I must say though that a lot of our employees are quite talented and creative especially in doing the Halloween decorations.
Anyway, I understand that we are not having this Halloween Party this year as a way of symphatizing with the flood and typhoon victims. Perhaps next year, we can have our Halloween Party again.

It is amazing how people could get so intoxicated with power that they forget that power comes with greater responsibility and should be used with caution and dispensed with wisdom.
Is it just proper to act like you own the place just because you are already a regular employee and a supervisor of a certain unit? Is it really necessary to impose certain rules without taking into consideration the effect it would cause to other units, just because it is quite convenient for you but not to others? Can you actually shout or raise your voice to such high decibels that it could actually rattle your window glasses just because your unit’s usual workload is getting to be too much for your own liking? In the first place, when you took on the job, you knew what you were getting into and taking out your frustration to uninvolved people is just a practice in desperation.
Trouble is brewing. Somebody is imposing rules that are causing problems to other divisions and these she has imposed without consultations with them and much more, her new rules are going against what should be done and proper.
It is just unfortunate that this lady started good in imposing changes that were beneficial to everybody, until she got carried away and went overboard. An occurrence that a lot of us sometimes indulge in.
Change is good but we should remember that change is only effective if it is beneficial to the majority of stakeholders. Change is good when done without losing sight of what is right and wrong not when it is done because it is good just for one and only person or unit.
Unfortunately, as people get comfortable with their powers, they develop this God complex that could be detrimental to others. Feeling heady with confidence and overcompliance, they lose sight of what are really their goal and their role in reaching that goal.
Sometimes, we tend to forget that as we go up and improve our position in our place of work as well as our quality of lives, the people we meet in going up could be the very people we will meet in going down when we get into trouble. Life is really a cycle, believe me.
