Blue Jaz has become more visible in the local newspapers these past few months, we decided to go on a weekend last month at Blue Jaz Beach Resort to beat the summer heat.
I was excited to do their slides and their zipline but got quite disappointed as they can only open them at 10am. We knew there would be a lot of people and it would have been preferable to have the slides available at an earlier time, as the lines could get long.

Happily, the beach was really clean and the water was really nice when we arrived at 8am. We stayed there for more than an hour. Having the swimming pools (there were three) was a good move as the seawater could go very low during low tides. However, when we got to one of the pools, they must have dumped a ton of chlorine in there that its smell was so palpable, it hurt my nose and stung my eyes.
As the beach resort was big and the multitude of visitors that go there is quite big, one would expect more comfort and dressing rooms. Imagine my shock to see that there were just 3 cubicles for the dressing room and 3 cubicles for the comfort room. Whoever needs comfort will feel discomfort lining up for a long time.
One more thing, their food is not that great and not worth the expensive price. Bring your own food even if they charge corkage fees.
Since the place is getting so much hype, I would love to see more improvements in their facilities and service on our next trip there.
