Finding Another Job

The past few months have seen our company having employee resignations one after the other. The resignations came mostly from our contractual employees while a few came from our permanent or regular employees. The common reason for the said resignations was to look for some greener pasture. Regretfully, we cannot do much about it but to request for the proper turnover of the work assignmentsI, for one, have seriously considered resigning from work. The reason was primarily due to significant differences that made my life a living hell. It was only thru my parents’ especially my mother’s pleadings that I deferred my plan; yet, it still stands at the back of my head now even if the situation has improved somewhat.

I know it is not easy to get back to the job market again after so many years of holding one. There is just so much to consider and it is always a big adjustment once you get to it.

The key to finding another job is being open to any opportunity that comes along. For somebody like me who has been working in an office for several years, it is something that would entail being brave to take the plunge as well as being open-minded of any possibilities. There is some possibility that what the present work assignment could be quite different to the prospective one.

Of course, finding another job that is suitable to one’s needs and preferences is just the beginning. The next thing to do is having a professional resume that should not only look professional and sincere but also easy-to-read and understand.

I have seen and read executive resumes before and I must say, a resume can be the turning point of getting hired. Resume analysis is a big help especially if one is really serious about finding a job.

Marites,
Leaving your comfort zone can be painful, but freeing. It will help you reaffirm your value to find something you can excel in!
