I was reading a national newspaper I borrowed from an officemate yesterday and she told me to particularly read an article about an interview. The interview was on a relative of one of the missing victims of the ill-fated MV Princess of the Stars. She said that her nephew is one of the crew members that are still missing. She remembered that early this year, her nephew tried to convince her to stay at the ship for a few days with expenses paid courtesy by him. She was afraid to go but was told by her nephew that the ship is big and beautiful and unsinkable. He was quite proud of it. So, what happened now? Could it be the reason why it sunk? Because the crews and the ship’s owners got complacent that it was unsinkable that they just risked going into the storm? I could not help but compare it to the Titanic. Sad thing, a lot of innocent people were victimized. I pray that this should not happen again and I pray for the victims and families of the ill-fated ship.
