Many believed that Houdini was the best all-time illusionist and escapologist. Houdini carved his illustrious career doing his well-known death-defying acts such as the suspended straitjacket escape, the Chinese Water Torture Cell and Milk Can escape. Houdini was a tough act to follow.  After him, magic and illusion became just stale performance after performance from magicians trying to copy his acts.
