An officemate has been bothering me since last year. She’s a nice lady but she’s about to get on to my last nerve. I was supposed to get promoted this year but turned it down. Days before the deliberation, people were coming up mostly, encouraging me to accept it but I already made up my mind to turn it down. Some came with positive attitude telling me that I truly deserve the promotion but others, like this lady, only thought of herself. It’s really a bad taste to be so obvious of wanting something that you cannot have. You see, she actually told me and almost badgered me in accepting the promotion so that she can get my current position once I get promoted. She even told me that she needs the additional income for her kids’ education if she gets promoted; and she envied me that I can afford to turn down the promotion being already handed down to me in the silver platter. Haller!!! I almost lost my temper. I was thinking “Why do I have to take on your problems in not getting promoted? Why should I think about your kids’ education?” 
Brother!!! I wish she could just find her own niche and not bother me with this promotion.
